What's Involved?

Visual inspection:

Checking for visible signs of damage like rust, holes, cracks, or loose connections on all parts of the exhaust system.

Leak detection:

Identifying any exhaust leaks at joints or connections by listening for unusual sounds or using a smoke machine.

Component checks:

Assessing the condition of individual components like the catalytic converter, muffler, exhaust manifold, and tailpipe for wear and tear.

Noise level evaluation:

Checking if the exhaust system is producing excessive noise, indicating potential issues like broken baffles or loose components.

Hanger and bracket inspection:

Examining the condition of mounting brackets and hangers to ensure proper exhaust system alignment.

Emissions check (if applicable):

Measuring the level of pollutants emitted by the exhaust to verify compliance with regulations.
